Bharat Anand is the Henry H. Byers Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. He is the author of the recently released book The Content Trap: A Strategist’s Guide to Digital Change (2016), which uses the example of global companies like The New York Times and The Economist to explain how content businesses can thrive in the digital age. The book builds on over two decades of research, most recently focusing on two of the most pressing challenges facing businesses today: “getting noticed” and “getting paid.”

Professor Anand has written over fifty articles and case studies, has received numerous awards for his research and case-writing, and has chaired various executive education programs. A renowned teacher, he is a two-time winner of the coveted HBS Student Association Faculty Award for teaching excellence at Harvard Business School. In 2014, he spearheaded Harvard Business School’s digital learning initiative, HBX, which he now oversees as faculty chair.

Professor Anand advises leading organizations and entrepreneurs around the world.

He graduated with an A.B. in economics magna cum laude from Harvard College, and received his Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University.
